Oscar-Claude Monet (Klodas Monė)

Claude Monet was born in 1840 November 14 in France, Paris. He died in 1926 December 5 in Giverny church cemetery, when he was 87 years old. He was a French painter, landscape painter, representative of impresionism.

Claude Monet liked to paint a nature. In 1873 he married Camille Doncieux. In 1878 Camille generated a son Michael. In 1879 died his first wife Camille Monet. Alice Hoschede decided to help Monet while she collecting his teo childrean with their own. In 1911 died his wife Alice Hoschede and in 1914 died his son Jean. Monet had two eyes operations in 1924. In 1880-1890 he began drawing a series of paintings. Claude Monet studied John Constable and J. M. W. Turner works.

He was one of the most famous world's impressionist.

Winter in Lithuania


Winter in Lithuania associated with lots of snow and cold weather. Sometimes the temperature can drop down to as -25 or even -30 degrees below zero! There are just a few days like that, but when all schools close and people are recommended to stay in home. Childrean go sleigh-riding, build snowmen and play in the snow, or go for a walk to park or forest with their parents. In Lithuania very often snowfalls. In winter rare you can enjoy frosty trees. Winter is definitely the most magical time of the year in Lithuania.

Winter in America is hot and sunny. People go to sea and lake. They are sunbathing and swimming. The temperature ranges from 15 to 25 degrees Celcius. Americans are celebrating Christmas is not only to cold as Lithuania. In some American cities are snow and there are cold weather. One of such city is New York. There are snowfalls, cold and windy.

Antanas Žmuidzinavičius

Antanas Žmuidzinavičius is a Lithuanian painter. He was born in 1876, October 31. He studied in "Veiveriai teacher seminary". His pseudonym was Antanas Žemaitis. He spent most of his time painting landscapes. He lived in Kaunas. In 1906-1907 Antanas Žmuidzinavičius held the first Lithuanian art exhibition together with M. K. Čiurlionis, Antanas Jaroševičius, Petras Kalpokas, Petras Rimša, Kajetonas Šklėris held the first Lithuanian art exhibition. Antanas Žmuidzinavičius painted about 2000 pictures. He travelled to Poland and the USA. In 1924 he returned to Lithuania. He died in 1966 .
